Mexican Guerrero devil mask #2009.01.020

This is a traditional wooden devil mask with cow horns that rattle. It has a red face a wide open mouth, long pointed ears and large blue eyes. These masks are made to use in the dance of the devil. It was carved in San Francisco, Guerrero but collected in Tixtla, Guerrero, Mexico. The mask is in excellent condition. Size H 11 1/2 ”, W 15 1/2”, D 5 ”, weight 2 lbs.
